Kodyak Mauls & MadMen

I was sent O.P.30 by Kodyak and was told that all intruments on this track are live. I am really looking forward to hearing this track.

The song begins with a piano and it sounds great.  The recording sounds really good. I almost couldnt tell it was live.
The words come in powerful and intriguing and the delivery is perfect. There was a couple parts in the first verse where Kodyak may have fell off rhythm but quickly came back.
The hook came in and I thought I wasnt going to like it but it was actually really good. The enthusiasm increased and the delivery was realistic. Great hook.
The second verse is just as good as the first. Kodyak is talented with lyrics. His rhymes are great and the lyrics are relatable. Those are not often the combinations you find on these types of songs.
I love a song that has emotion behind it. This song will appeal to many people.
As I listen more to the song it seems to have been written by personal experiences which make the absolute best songs.
The second verse ends with a guitar solo...I am definitely feeling it.
Wow.  This is a great song. I loved absolutely every fiber of it.
Nothing much more to say. Wonderful job, guys. Wonderful.

Kodyak Mauls & MadMen can be found on soundclod and I highly recommend checking them out.

D. Lynch/Goonie Wolf/Masta Ace

D Lynch asked me to review Subconscious Theatre featuring Masta Ace and Goonie Wolf.

When the beat drops in I am immediately drawn to it. I love the horns and high hat and can definitely tell this is a beat I am going to enjoy. I am relieved at this beat, quite honestly. I have heard many great artists over the years but not many of them utilize beats to the best of their ability. Meaning they have great beats and average or below average lyrics or great lyrical ability and great delivery on terrible beats. I am hoping the artists on this track change my mind.
D. Lynch starts off the track with the first verse.
His lyrics are on point and impressive. I breathe a sigh of relief to hear his tempo and rhythm are good and I'm drawn into the words. Near the middle of the verse the delivery becomes a little scratched up and the words become somewhat hard to understand.  I often rap the same way. I think staccato is a very hard habit to break and D. Lynch seems to have the same problem I have at times. That issue doesn't last long and D. Lynch is right back on point. I am impressed. His verse is over all well done. The lyrics are  well thought out and he delivers them with pride.

The hook is done by Goonie Wolf and the transition from verse to hook is flawless. The lyrics on the hook are powerful and done properly. Props!!

The second verse is by Masta Ace and he slides into his verse from the hook like a smooth operator. Wow.  Masta Ace impresses me on every level. His words are so soft spoken yet so powerful. I listened to this verse many times and am completely stunned by the perfect delivery, the amazing lyrics and the flow of this verse between the hooks.

I do believe Goonie Wolf delivered the hook wonderfully and dont think either other artist could have done it the same way.

The third verse is by Goonie Wolf and he also delivers a perfect transition from hook to verse. I am instantly loving his lyrics. His voice is original and works well with his delivery.
He puts plenty of emotion behind his words and wants the listener to understand his words. I cannot emphasize enough on how wonderful Goonie Wolf's lyrics are. He is a talented artist and possibly has my favorite verse on this track. The way he switches up his flow and then brings it right back is impressive to say the least.

This is a track by 3 very talented and honorable artists. I am proud of their work and am a lucky girl to have had the opportunity to listen and review this track. Please listen and tell me what you think!!

Kofi Yung/ Mason Way

Kofi Yung and Mason Way are my first artist to review from fiverr.com! ! Thank you so much!!

The first track I am listening to is called I Get It In. Aaannnndddd pressing play.

I immediately begin rocking my head side to side to this track. The repetitive "I get it in" is catchy and notable. The synth sound on the beat has never been something I liked in beats but it works well for the song and does not hide the fact that the song is already boppin.
When the lyrics kick in, the whole track immediately becomes dull. The delivery is lacking and I feel no emotion behind the words. The actual lyrics themselves are not bad but not great. There were a few bars that caught my attention but overall it's not outstanding. I feel like the so-so lyrics could have held up if he seemed more proud to be delivering them.
I don't usually speak on production because its not something I know as much about but the production on this track is really good. I can hear the vocals clearly, some voice effects like echos and fades are present and executed very well. What I could have heard less of is where the beat drops out so Kofi Yung is kinda accapella on the track, I feel like that was over used.
I dont hear anything memorable about the hook. The lyrics are not strong and its not the high point of the track like a hook should be.
Again on the second verse the delivery is not there. Either Kofi Yung is reading his lyrics or just tired of repeating them. If the delivery improved the whole song would sound different to me.
The lyrics are unimpressive to me. "Mike Tyson bitin some ears" . I shook my head on hearing this. The lyrics are simple and cheap. I am thoroughly unimpressed by the lyrical content of this song.
Truthfully this beat is great. I do not feel like it was done justice. The delivery on the song needed to be turned up about 6 notches. I really would like to see some more enticing lyrics and the song could have some potential.

The next track I was sent is called It's Right by Mason Way

The beat starts with the synth again but im hoping it picks up like the last one.
The lyrics kick in and my face becomes completely surprised. Im going to keep listening to make sure I'm hearing this right. Im just gonna say...the weird sounds gotta go man.
The delivery is much better on this song. I can tell that Mason Way is a fan himself of this song. He seems to like to deliver it. Thats what I want to hear more of. The lyrics are just ok. But I havent heard anything rhyme yet.
As the song goes on I am hearing the same words used and rhymed over and over. The concept trails off then comes back and I am completely confused by this song, and for that reason I just cant feel it. Is this about a girl he likes or a girl he hates?? I kinda feel like Mason Way was going for a Big Sean sound here. Thats a fail.
This song is a rambling nonsensical track that I am not proud to have listened to.

These artists have much potential. The delivery exists but needs to be consistent.  The lyrics are there but need to be utilized. With the right beats and content, I imagine a great track. Please continue to build and learn and find where you belong. I'd love to hear more in the future.

Kofi Yung and Mason Way are on soundcloud. Go listen to these tracks tell me if you feel how I feel!!

SkneyBonz

I was sent 2 tracks by SkneyBonz via email.  The first track I received is called Swagger On A Million.
I love the way this track comes in. The sample looped and mixed the way it is, is very catchy and I immediately want to hear more of this song.
I am not feeling the way the verse drops in. I feel like the beat should have been left simple the way it was at the beginning. The lyrics are ill. I do think the chopped and screwed voice effect could have been used in moderation. You'd almost think at the beginning that this track may have a boppy swag feel, almost like a Soldier Boy Tell Em track, the way the beat didnt have a bass line but the lyrics prove it can hold up with almost any style.
SkneyBonz comes in strong on the verses but seems to start to trail off around the middle.
If he kept that energy all the way through I'd be hype!
Overall this song is dope. It has tons of potential as far as playability and videos. The only thing keeping me from loving it 100% is the beat. I am not into the synth used at all.

I've just listened to Turn It Up by SkneyBonz.  I like this beat better than the last one, still not completely feeling it.However just with these 2 tracks I do see the style of beat that SkneyBonz prefers and he uses them well.
I like how the hook kicks off the track. Again, right away SkneyBonz comes in strong and begins to lose his energy near the middle of the first verse. Lyrics again are dope and well written. His delivery and tempo are next to perfect on this beat.
The second verse comes in perfectly and again I am drawn in to the track. The tempo and flow switch from the last verse is impressive. The lyrics on the second verse are not as on point as the first. It almost seemed a little rushed as far as quality. I know SkneyBonz is capable of better lyrics.

Both of these tracks are very likeable and deserve much props. SkneyBonz seems to be a versatile artist that I would love to hear more from in the future.

Young Ty

I listened to 2 tracks by Young Ty on Soundcloud called Crazy Life and Wild West.

Loving how Crazy Life comes in. I'm thinking this beat will be dope. Oh a sample!! I needed this!! I'm excited now! Wait whoa whoa whoa. Must pause this song! I hear the lyrics kick in and I was completely unaware how YOUNG Young Ty really is. I am not even gonna GUESS an age but wow. OK...continue. I cant really make out some of the lyrics. This version said it was mixed and mastered but the lyrics are still way too low to hear. From what I can hear, the tempo is not right. Dude is not on rhythm with the beat at all. His British accent is awesome. Once he gets closer to the first hook I can hear more rhythm and make out more lyrics. Im just loving this beat. OK the more I listen to the song, the better it gets. I am loving it. Props on this one for sure. I see you!

Oh man, Wild West drops with a sample. I am so impressed right now. Dang it. There is no rhythm in this track either. The lyrics are not on point with the beat at all. It really makes it hard to listen to. Ok but I just looked at the short bio on Soundcloud and it says dude is 11!!! I am SO impressed with this kid it is not even CLOSE to funny. I see an amazing future here. I am absolutely HONORED to be able to listen to these tracks!! This beat is SO dope! The lyrics are not terrible and I am still loving this accent! I just LOVE this kid!!

Wow. Thats really all I have to say about this review. Wow. Here is the link to the Soundcloud.

2 tracks called No Grind, No Glory and Six-19 Nahmean were submitted via email.

No Grind, No Glory comes in hard as hell and Im instantly noddin along with it. Lyrics are not bad. I like this song. Not normally something I would normally listen to but shoot, this is dope. The hook is very catchy. I feel like I already know it. The second verse seems kinda rushed, the delivery isnt great. But the hook comes in and saves it! The end is dope. I like this song a lot.

Six-19 comes in the same way. Just gotta listen. This song is deep. The lyrics are ill on this one too. I think a lot of people can relate to this one. Not necessarily myself but a lot of people would really like this song. The hook is really dope too. I really like this song. Thats really all there is to it.

SOHO Kings:

SOHO KINGS is a band and studio project from New York City.

Producer/Singer Bryce Alvord and Rapper Celsius911 have

officially teamed up after years of collaboration and are currently

working on recording their debut album.

I was sent via email, 2 tracks called Killen Me Slow and Want You Tonight.

As Killen Me Slow comes in I am absolutely hating the beat. It drops with singing which I am definitely not a fan of. Ok so now that I'm listening to it, thats the sound they were TRYING to achieve. They are more on some pop/rap type stuff here. Ok. I get it. I can somewhat adjust my ear to what they are wanting and evaluate that way.
I am not sure who is who but dude's voice is not terrible and his lyrics are meaningful. Shoot I think I decided I really like this song. I've got it downloaded and I think it may be Ipod worthy. The lyricist of the group has a nice voice also and his lyrics really are not bad. This song is the truth too. I really like it.

Ok like I said long ago, I was not evaluating production but I think these guys really have it down. Everything sounds really good as far as their recording and so forth. I dont like the beat on Want You Tonight, but of course thats cuz I don't do this type of music. Im actually anxious to hear this song.  Starts with the rapping and I really like!! I am totally a fan of these guys!! Bottom line this song is dope and I see a big future for these guys!! End of story!!

These songs just prove how people need to be open minded and expand their horizons. Especially in the review game. I came in like "I hate this" because mostly I hear nothing but rap and hip hop. These songs are great and if these guys want to get radio play and make the big bucks, they are well on their way. Im relieved to hear this!!
