Young Ty

I listened to 2 tracks by Young Ty on Soundcloud called Crazy Life and Wild West.

Loving how Crazy Life comes in. I'm thinking this beat will be dope. Oh a sample!! I needed this!! I'm excited now! Wait whoa whoa whoa. Must pause this song! I hear the lyrics kick in and I was completely unaware how YOUNG Young Ty really is. I am not even gonna GUESS an age but wow. OK...continue. I cant really make out some of the lyrics. This version said it was mixed and mastered but the lyrics are still way too low to hear. From what I can hear, the tempo is not right. Dude is not on rhythm with the beat at all. His British accent is awesome. Once he gets closer to the first hook I can hear more rhythm and make out more lyrics. Im just loving this beat. OK the more I listen to the song, the better it gets. I am loving it. Props on this one for sure. I see you!

Oh man, Wild West drops with a sample. I am so impressed right now. Dang it. There is no rhythm in this track either. The lyrics are not on point with the beat at all. It really makes it hard to listen to. Ok but I just looked at the short bio on Soundcloud and it says dude is 11!!! I am SO impressed with this kid it is not even CLOSE to funny. I see an amazing future here. I am absolutely HONORED to be able to listen to these tracks!! This beat is SO dope! The lyrics are not terrible and I am still loving this accent! I just LOVE this kid!!

Wow. Thats really all I have to say about this review. Wow. Here is the link to the Soundcloud.

D-Sypha

2 tracks called No Grind, No Glory and Six-19 Nahmean were submitted via email.

No Grind, No Glory comes in hard as hell and Im instantly noddin along with it. Lyrics are not bad. I like this song. Not normally something I would normally listen to but shoot, this is dope. The hook is very catchy. I feel like I already know it. The second verse seems kinda rushed, the delivery isnt great. But the hook comes in and saves it! The end is dope. I like this song a lot.

Six-19 comes in the same way. Just gotta listen. This song is deep. The lyrics are ill on this one too. I think a lot of people can relate to this one. Not necessarily myself but a lot of people would really like this song. The hook is really dope too. I really like this song. Thats really all there is to it.

SOHO Kings:

SOHO KINGS is a band and studio project from New York City.

Producer/Singer Bryce Alvord and Rapper Celsius911 have

officially teamed up after years of collaboration and are currently

working on recording their debut album.

I was sent via email, 2 tracks called Killen Me Slow and Want You Tonight.

As Killen Me Slow comes in I am absolutely hating the beat. It drops with singing which I am definitely not a fan of. Ok so now that I'm listening to it, thats the sound they were TRYING to achieve. They are more on some pop/rap type stuff here. Ok. I get it. I can somewhat adjust my ear to what they are wanting and evaluate that way.
I am not sure who is who but dude's voice is not terrible and his lyrics are meaningful. Shoot I think I decided I really like this song. I've got it downloaded and I think it may be Ipod worthy. The lyricist of the group has a nice voice also and his lyrics really are not bad. This song is the truth too. I really like it.

Ok like I said long ago, I was not evaluating production but I think these guys really have it down. Everything sounds really good as far as their recording and so forth. I dont like the beat on Want You Tonight, but of course thats cuz I don't do this type of music. Im actually anxious to hear this song.  Starts with the rapping and I really like!! I am totally a fan of these guys!! Bottom line this song is dope and I see a big future for these guys!! End of story!!

These songs just prove how people need to be open minded and expand their horizons. Especially in the review game. I came in like "I hate this" because mostly I hear nothing but rap and hip hop. These songs are great and if these guys want to get radio play and make the big bucks, they are well on their way. Im relieved to hear this!!
Joseph G:

I was submitted 2 tracks via email called I Know Why You Left and Got Away.

I Know Why You Left kinda started on a Brother Ali tip to me. The beat I mean...kind of an instrumental lead in. It's dope. When the beat actually drops I'm really feelin it. JG's voice works well over the beat. And he delivers well with the concept. More mellow and serious. OK so when you hear the title you kinda seem to think you know what the song will be about but I was wrong LOL. This track is deep. Lyrics are thought out and intelligent. I'd listen to this track.

It's probably just me but I dont like how Got Away comes in. Most likely just not my style. Again, the delivery is flawless. And the lyrics are impressive. JG is definitely talented with his words. As the beat goes on, I like it. Anyone who has listened to MY music knows this track is something I would be into. Just the content. I'm not feeling the hook. This song is deep and real. I like it overall.
Kobe Sixx:

I was sent 2 tracks from the upcoming mixtape BoomBox Voodoo. Titled Bath Salts Face Off and Smokin Real Loud.

Feelin the beat on Bath Salts Face Off. Like hard. Sample is dope and the bass is killin em. Lyrics seem kinda deep for the track. Seems like it should be something more simple, if that makes sense. The beat is mad fun and the concept just seems like it should be crazy, not lyrical. I'd like to hear more energy in the delivery but over all the track is ill.

I'm feelin the lyrics on Smokin Real Loud like instantly. I'm impressed. I'm not a fan of smoking and drinking songs so I am kinda partial on this one. The hook needs more, it doesnt have the thought put into it like the first verse. And the 2nd verse isn't as impressive either. The track seems like dude was mad excited at the beginning of the song but was kinda bored with the song as it went on. I'm not feelin this song much. The third verse I believe I remember was "Shame Dollaz"? This song was submitted a while back so I don't remember completely. However, Shame Dollaz did not ask me to do a review so I will not comment on his verse.

Avenu

Avenu:

I was emailed 2 tracks by Avenu.  Dr. Jekyll Vs. Mr Hyde and Juggernauts.

I absolutely love how Dr. Jekyll Vs. Mr Hyde starts. I cant help but laugh and am looking forward to the humor in the song. The beat is dope and the delivery works so well with it. The lyrics are dope and powerful and draw my attention. The concept is so ill and Avenu delivers flawlessly. This track reminds me of Skin by Chino XL. I absolutely love the idea and it takes a very talented artist to pull it off without sounding corny. A lot of effort was put into this track and I appreciate every bar.

Juggernauts is over an Ear 2 The Beat track. Ear 2 The Beat is my people's so of course I'm feelin the beat. Lyrics come in and I am impressed. This song delivers. Just as I assumed it would from the previous track. The track doesn't seem to have much of a concept to me so it's a little confusing. I am just literally listening to the lyrics and enjoying the intelligence. The song is dope. The beat is dope. I am ultra impressed.

Avenu delivers his remarkable lyrics in the smoothest way possible. It is so amazing to hear this talent. I am excited to hear more from Avenu in the future. "And that's real"

Muse One

Muse One:

This is the first time I started listening to the submitted tracks before starting the review. I usually listen to them WHILE doing the review. I can truly say I could not wait to do this review.

I was sent links to 2 tracks called Don't Cry and So Far Away.

Dont' Cry comes in with a dope beat. Muse drops his lyrics in perfectly and as soon as he starts I am impressed by his lyrics. My first thought is "Can I download this track?"
I am feelin it like crazy. His delivery is perfect and voice is powerful. You can tell that Muse believes his own words and that is very important. He has a message and delivers it well. I would listen to this track on a daily.

I'm feelin the beat on So Faw Away also. The lyrics on this song are on point also. This song is "cute". The concept is for the ladies, and I'm enjoying it. Oh what?!! Sample on the hook. This song just got 100x better!! I am loving this song, and I'm kinda like "Dang I wanna use this beat". Loving it. Absolutely loving it.

Muse One is dope to say the least. I would love to hear more from this artist and he gets my recommendation for dope music!! Props to you Muse One. Thank you for the pleasure of reviewing these amazing tracks!!

Cityiz Mine

Cityiz Mine:
I was sent a link to a mixtape by Cityiz Mine.
Cityiz Mine currently lives in Tamarac, Florida.
http://www.datpiff.com/mixtapes-detail.php?id=370856

I chose tracks Mek Luv 2 Ya Mind and Let's Go! for review from this mixtape.

I am thinking when Mek Luv 2 Ya Mind starts that the beat may be dope so I am looking forward to hearing it. However Cityiz comes in singing the hook and I am not a fan.
The beat is dope but the lyrics kick in and Im not hearing any rhythm between the vocals and beat. I'm feeling the lyrics and the concept is dope but I couldn't see myself singing along because the tempo of the lyrics is not correct on the beat.
The hook comes back in but it sounds awkward and rushed. I just dont like the singing on it. If there was a different hook and the timing on the vocals was better, I would like this song.

Let's Go comes in with singing as well and again, it doesn't sound great.
I take that back, it sounds really bad. I really think Cityiz should stick to rapping.  The rhythm on this track, however is much better and I am liking this song after the beginning. Lyrics are on point on this song. Dope. Then the hook comes in again and I'm rolling my eyes like "really?"
The verses are ill. This song has potential.

Cityiz Mine has talent. I imagine a lot of people enjoy this mixtape and enjoy his music all together. Minus the corny singing, I enjoy it and it was my pleasure to review these tracks.

Das Luene

Das Luene:
I was sent links to 2 tracks called Kinda Lady and The Sunshine.
 http://www.facebook.com/dasleune

Das Luene is currently in Portland, Oregon.
Oregon Stand up!!

Kinda Lady starts with a sample so yep, I'm in. I am loving the voice and delivery on this song. It is relaxing and powerful.Lyrics are on point and the beat just gets better. The first verse is great and really has kept my attention.
The hook is a little confusing. But I feel it works well with this song.I thoroughly enjoyed what I heard with this song and I could see myself listening to it.

I really like how The Sunshine beings. The beat is dope. Again the delivery is ill. I really enjoy Das' voice. It works well with his content.Lyrically, Das is impressive.
I would listen to this track as well.

Mad respect to Das Luene. I am feelin these tracks and would love to hear more, for my own listening enjoyment.

Mellssa Noemi Escobar

Mellssa Noemi Escobar:
I was sent links to 2 tracks called Stay There and Too Proud.
Ms Escobar currently lives in Albany, New York.
 http://www.facebook.com/Noemi.Ms.Escobar

As the beat to Stay There drops, I am not really impressed. For the most part it is good but  the strings on the beat sound way too "electronic". I am anxious to hear more though.
Wow. That's all I have to say as this lady starts to sing. This voice is original and I am eager now.
I am absolutely loving this track. Her voice works so well over this beat. Her lyrics are beautiful. I would jam this song all day in my car. I am completely awe-struck by this girl.
This song is pure genius and I cannot wait to hear another song from this woman.
"I can hear a million angels singing". I absolutely LOVE this song!!

The piano that starts out Too Proud is beautiful. Really feeling the song already.
Holy crap. This girl comes in so perfectly on this song.
I am picking my jaw up off the floor while listening to this song. I have not heard such raw talent in a VERY long time.
I literally want to just hug Ms Escobar.

To conclude, this girl is so very talented. I will recommend her music to absolutely everyone and will most DEFINITELY listen to it myself. I am breathing a sigh of relief right now. I appreciate this girl for everything she is.

Gigglez

Gigglez:

I listened to More Each Day and Confess from Reverbnation.

More Each Day comes in with a dope sample so I am automatically drawn to the song and want to hear more. When the lyrics kick in, I am having a hard time hearing them but production is not my area so all I will say is "Turn up the lyrics!" Gigglez has a great voice that works well with her delivery. The lyrics on is song are on point and actually get better and better as the song goes on. The verses end well and slip into the hook smoothly. I,personally, would not listen to this track. Just not my style, but it's wonderful all the same and definitely a track for the ladies to vibe with.

Confess comes in with a sample too so I'm feelin it. The lyrics are next to unaudible so I am havin a hard time hearing it at all. The beat is dope. Gigglez comes in singing and it sounds awesome (from what I can hear). Her voice is real and not over-done. Gigglez is a force to be reckoned with, lyrically. I am definitely feeling this song.

Gigglez is the voice of the real woman. With her "no holding back" attitude and lyrical talent she has the potential to go places. I'm impressed.

Jay Bizness

Jay Bizness:

I was sent a link to the mixtape by Jay Bizness titled Born Konvicted.
I listened to tracks Black Card and No Tomorrow

I really like how this track starts. The delivery and voice is comparable to Tech N9ne. The song progresses nicely. The vocals should be turned up a little,I am a little confused on the lyrics. It becomes more easily understood as the song goes on. The hook is very catchy.
I really like how the second verse comes in. The transitions are smooth and well thought out. I can definitely see a lot of people getting down to this song. It is very catchy and the "stripper" concept is delivered much differently than most songs of it's kind.
I must state (as I do on all reviews) whether or not I would listen to the song myself. This one I would not. But for the 700 something people who have downloaded this mixtape, I aint mad atcha. There was a lot of effort and work put into this song, that's obvious. I can appreciate that.

No Tomorrow began on a bad note to me. I am not a fan of the singing at the beginning. When the verse kicks in, I change my mind. I am enjoying the lyrics, even though it's a "smoking" song. I think this idea is played out already. I rarely enjoy songs about smoking. The lyrics are on point. I can bet that mad people enjoy this track. Also noticing that this is a BeatG33ks beat. Using a lot of BeatG33ks beats myself I must give props on that.

All in all Jay Bizness is dope. His style is original and his lyrics are ill. I would recommend his music if asked if I've heard anything good lately. The mixtape has done well. 700 people can't be wrong.

Re-Syted

Re-Syted:
I was personally sent 2 tracks by Re-Syted called "Soul's Window" and "Crying"

As soon as the beat to "Crying" kicked in I smiled. I'm a sucker for samples and am absolutely stoked to hear what this song has in store.

I have said it before and I will say it again; Re-Syted has a very unique and authentic voice that just draws the listener into whatever he has to say. His voice (to me) is comparable to Brother Ali.
Not exactly feeling the delivery on the song but the lyrics wont let me stop listening. The content is relatable and therefore makes it a song worth listening to.I thoroughly enjoyed this song, it's lyrics were definitely on point.

Same exact thing when "Soul's Window" started up. The sample is dope. The lyrics kicked in and I was instantly impressed. I was very anxious to continue through the song.
I was left nearly speechless while listening to this song. Of all the artists I have reviewed thus far, Re-Syted is one of the absolute most talented I have heard. This song is pure genius.

Re-Syted combines experience and intellegence in his lyrics. It takes a very brilliant person to be able to write and record lyrics that say what most people have felt but are unable to put into words. Hip Hop at it's devine finest.

I am unable to post these tracks at this time.

Rahney

Rahney:
I listened to 2 tracks by Rahney off Reverbnation entitled "The Plans" and "Thats Wat U Get For Free"

As the beat for "The Plans" kicks in I'm thinking it sounds powerful and I'm hoping the song lives up to this beat. When Rahney starts his verse the first thing tha pops into my head is "Tyler, the Creator". The delivery is identical and to be honest I am definitely feeling it. The lyrics are impressive and the content of the song is original. This is a song I could find myself listening to. The concept gets a little more intense and I start thinking "How rude" LOL but the song is one of a kind and most defintely worth continuing to listen to.
I am absolutely feeling this song, however it's one of those songs you have to look for, I believe, because in my opinion this is not a song that should be performed live.Underneath all the curse words and women stereotyping there seems to be a message. One time on this song, mos def.

The lyrics on "Thats Wat U Get For Free" kick in right away and I'm like "This is dope". The beat kicks in and I am not feeling it. It sounds basic. Unfortunately, I am SO not feeling the beat that I don't even want to continue the song. I am hoping there is a drastic change or drop that wil actually compliment the song that "could be". The concept is dope and the lyrics are ill but that beat is horrible. I expected more on ths track considering the last one I listened to was impressive. The hook is repeatative and worthy of noggin noddin but the beat wont let me do it.
All in all Rahney has lyrics for days and concepts that back it up. The fact that I heard a song I would actually listen to myself impresses me. Kudos to you.

Mo Gutta Game

Mo Gutta Game:
Mo Gutta Game personally emailed me 2 tracks for review.
The tracks I received are titled "Wake Up" and "On My Own"

On first hearing "Wake Up" my first thoughts were "I'm feelin MGG's voice. It works very well over the beat."
The track starts with the hook and I was instantly nodding along with it. The delivery on this track is awesome and I find myself anxious to hear more.
The track is super-well thought out and the concept is dope. I am hearing the lyrics a little off rhythm but somehow it seems to work. There are little points like "Dig it?" that just make the song catchy and fun. These small but powerful punches make me feel like I already know the song. I dig it.
The second verse comes in beautifully. I am absolutely a fan of this song. I could hear this song on every radio station coast to coast. Now I must say personally this song is not MY style but I most definitely wouldn't turn it off. As an artist and writer I am saying that this song is brilliant. I believe MGG hit the nail on the head with what he wanted to achieve on this song. Props.

When "On My Own" started I immediately liked the beat. Getting a little more into it though, I wasn't feeling it so much. Again though I must say that MGG's voice is perfect for his art. Also though, on this track too I am hearing the lyrics a little off rhythm. I may be trippin.
There is some singing on the hook of this track. I'm not feelin it. Maybe its the voice, but it sounds basic to me. Singing does work well on the track but the delivery of the singing is not as intense as MGG's verses so it doesnt sound right to me. Yeah not a fan of the voice at all. The lyrics and content on this track are on point, however.
My suggestion is find a better voice with more "experience" I guess for the hook. There are many voices out there that would compliment this part of the song very well. I did find myself just wanting to turn it off during the singing. The remainder of the song is good.

I am unable to post these songs by Mo Gutta Game's request.

Burque's Most Wanted

Burque's Most Wanted:
Burque's Most Wanted is a rap group from Albuquerque, New Mexico circa 2004.  Members are Shi Boi, Smilez  G and Yung Thug.

I listened to the tracks called "Got Dat Fire" and "Lyrical Brigade"

My first thought when "Got Dat Fire" kicked in is "This beat is terrible." Plain and simple, the beat sounds like a 4 year old made it.
The hook kicks in first and I am thoroughly unimpressed to say the least. I can definitely see very simple minded people repeating this verse over all the other music they could be listening to.
The first verse is basic and the lyrical content is cheap and thrown together.
Neither of the rappers on this song have any notable skill when it comes to lyrics at all.
Only the first verse on"Lyrical Brigade"track is decent, lyric wise. However the beat once again is just awful.
The hook on this track is, again, umimpressive. The second verse is boring and yawn worthy.
I would really like to see these guys plan out their tracks better. I can see their vision but there is nothing setting them apart from any other group in Albuquerque. Their content is over-done and their style is played out.
All artists on the tracks have decent delivery and voices that do work well with their idea but I would not recommend Burque's Most Wanted to anyone who asked me for my opinion on good local artists.

MizzRae

MizzRae:
I listened to 2 tracks by MizzRae entitled "Out Of Time" and "Dont Leave Me Lonely".

When first hearing MizzRae begin to sing, honestly I thought I would be disappointed because at first she seems to have a voice that is very familiar in that A LOT of local female artists all have the same singing voice and style that seems to only work for singing hooks. MizzRae surprised me when she almost immediately begins using many different ranges and tones....this brought a smile to my face. Her voice sounds very raw and uncut. Not many artists sound so good without all the work. She has a deep soulful voice that is not only touching but is soothing.

Unfortunately on the song "Out Of Time" I find myself hoping to hear her more and less of anyone else. On this song I believe there should be less back-drop vocals and more focus on her lyrics. The dubbs and hypes should be saved for the hook. I want to hear her verse and there is too much going on during it. Her delivery is wonderful, however.

"Dont Leave Me Lonely" is downright impressive. I think MzzRae would have a MAGNIFICENT career in alternative "woman hippy" acoustic type music. This song is raw and beautiful.

MizzRae is an excellent example of a strong, powerful woman voice that could appeal to all ages. Beautiful.

Era Kills

Era Kills:
Era Kills is an artist from Albuquerque, NM who has been in the game since he was 15. He has worked with MANY other local artists. His bio states him as a "Punchline Master" an he prides himself on rhyming 2 or more syllables.

I listened to the tracks called "Move" and "Time For Me To Go".

I was thorougly impressed with his lyrical content of both tracks. The lack of concept on "Move" actually seemed to work on the track. Just one of those "I got something to say" type of tracks. It would most likely be a fun song to perform and would definitely get a crowd's attention. I personally would not play this song regularly.
On the other hand "Time For Me To Go" is an infectious track with a hook that really sticks with you and is not easily fogotten. I think the song was very well planned out and just all around speaks to many people. I am a fan of this track.
I do think that Era Kills could put much more emotion into his delivery. I want to feel the anger on "Move" and some more PUSH on "Time For Me To Go". They are both great songs but I want to get out of my seat or get choked up because I know how Era Kills felt while recording these songs.
Era Kills is a great artist at the end of the day and if you want to hear something and think "I've felt that way" or "Dang, this goes hard" then this is an artist to consider.

Music Evaluation

I stated on facebook today that I am going to begin critiquing music by artists that submit songs to me via message. By this I mean I will listen, thoroughly listen and give my opinion on the songs by their content, concept and beats and on the artist by their lyrics, delivery and basically vibe.
I know I am taking a risk by doing this because as I have learned many times before, a lot of people do not want any sort of negative feed-back, whether it be true or not.
Those who know me know I dont care.
I have something in me that wont let me lie or flatter anyone.
Your warning is this, if you have any doubt that I will not say what you want to hear, do not bother submitting music to me. If you are going to call me a "hater" and want problems with me, do not bother because I will absolutely not feed into any childish nonsense over my opinion.
If you are a new artist and would like some feedback, please be my guest. If you feel you are a great artist and would like me to prove it to you (or not), please submit your best work.
Info I need included in your submission:
Your name and link to 2 songs of your choice.
How long you have been in the music business.
Who the beats on the songs you submit are made by.
Any other info you think is necessary.

THIS OPPORTUNITY IS NOT JUST FOR HIP HOP/RAP ARTISTS. I ENCOURAGE R&B SINGERS, POP SINGERS, ALTERNATIVE, METAL AND ANYONE ELSE TO SUBMIT THEIR SONGS.
AGAIN LET ME SAY, THIS IS MY OPINION....IF YOU DO NOT AGREE WITH IT, JUST TELL YOURSELF "WHO IS SHE??" DONT WORRY ABOUT WHAT I HAVE TO SAY BUT KEEP IN MIND I HAVE WORKED WITH MANY ARTISTS AND HAVE BEEN IN THE MUSIC INDUSTRY FROM SINGING OPERA TO POP TO RAP TO HIP HOP FOR NEARLY 14 YEARS. I KNOW A THING OR TWO.
LET THE SUBMISSIONS BEGIN!
